The new homeowner sought to organize the top two floors for her future use and the bottom floor for a potential tenant, completing a three-story brownstone where outdoor living was also essential. The process of selecting shades of white paint colors against the greens of the garden led to a broader design recognition: the need for a new dining room that engages the exterior terrace, connects to the open kitchen, and supports an upper terrace for the bedroom above.
